Five Fun Foodie Valentine’s Day Ideas

Last year around this time, I was busy studying for my ACSM Certified Personal Trainer exam.  It was at the beginning of March, so I spent a lot of time studying instead of socializing.  And also finding ways to procrastinate studying instead of concentrating on learning.  Ensue lots of different Valentine’s Day foodie items and DIY crafts.

Here they are, all in one post!  After all, Valentine’s Day is next week you know.

Five Fun Foodie Valentine’s Day Ideas

Customized Beer Bottles
Last year I made Tim these customized beer bottles, and they came out so cute!  I went a little overboard and decorated a whole 12 pack, but again, I was procrastinating study time.  I think a 6 pack would suffice and still get the point across.  Random fun sidenote – The Gift Insider blog found these on my Pinterest page and linked to them in their “DIY Valentine’s Gifts We Found On Pinterest” post yesterday.

Fun to make and fun to give, these DIY Candy Jars are a creative way to give a candy gift on Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day M&M Pretzel Bites
This munchie is super easy to make, and super delicious.  You could even fill the jars above with them!

Healthy Valentine’s Fruit Skewers
I didn’t do a how-to post on these, but they are featured in the same post as the candy jars!  My friend Katrina actually made these for our girls Valentine’s Day celebration last year, so they were too fun not to share.  All you need besides the fruit and skewers is a heart-shaped cookie cutter!  Healthier than candy, they are a better choice!

These are definitely all doable to get together by next week for that special someone! 😉
