Can’t believe we are already mid-week!
Last night Liz and I taught our back to back Cinco de Mayo themed classes. We tried to wear Cinco de Mayo colors, but we kind of just looked like Christmas. We used our themed playlists (I really just recycled mine from last year) and passed out fun little prizes (some also recycled from last year). People must think we are either so fun OR the biggest dorks in the world. Probably a little bit of both.
My playlist:
My mom came to both classes too, so that was fun! She texted me that she is sore today. We did a lot of balance and unilateral work with true Tabata cardio bursts, so that’s probably why.
After classes, Tim and I ventured to our neighbor’s apartment since he was having some people over and invited us up. A bunch of his friends there were from his bootcamp class, so I had plenty in common with them and lots to talk about, especially with the instructor! We know a lot of the same fitness people and places in Boston, which was funny.
For dinner, I continued with my Cinco de Mayo theme and enjoyed some pulled bbq chicken quesadillas with green peppers, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. Topped with plain Chobani yogurt and some homemade guac.
Yum!
Did anyone celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year? How?
Aside from the themed classes last night, I hung out with my home friends on Saturday for some delicious margaritas! I can never turn down a good marg. 😉
