Jen & Tyler’s Wedding

As you guys know, last weekend Tim and I drove up to New York with Ashley and Bret for Jen and Tyler’s wedding.

To jog your memory, Jen is my gym instructor friend that moved to Calgary about a year and a half ago to be with Tyler.  We threw her a super fun good-bye party, but I miss her at the Y every single week.  Sadface.

As expected, Jen looked absolutely stunning.  I just loved her dress!

The ceremony was short and sweet, but I think both Ashley and I got a little teary as Jen walked down the aisle.

The venue was super cute, held outdoors with the reception in a barn.

And even though there was no air conditioning, we made the best of it!

They had all the typical wedding things – entrances, speeches, first dances, etc.

Nevermind a really good meal!

Including dessert, of course.  I’m still drooling over these cupcakes.

We spent the rest of the night drinking wine, catching up, taking pictures…

…and dancing, of course!

Oh, and there were obviously some fitness inspired photos involved.

And yes, the bride did pushups in her gown.  I may have instigated these.  I can’t say for sure.

Anyways, the wedding was a great time, and Tim and I got to spend a little extra time with Jen and Tyler at a local bar near the hotel after the wedding.  Of course I wish we could have caught up more, but it was still great to see Jen and I’m happy we made the trip out for her special day.

Ever seen a bride do pushups at their own wedding before?!

If I had my money on anyone to do that, it would be Jen!  She did not disappoint!
