I forgot my own blog’s birthday!

I swear I’m better when it comes to real people’s birthdays and anniversaries.  Speaking of, happy anniversary to my parents today!

Anyways, I started this blog two years ago on July 12, 2011.  At that time, I was working in my former Marketing position and trying to figure out how to get more involved in the healthy living community.  Boy have I come a long way since then!

My blog has come a long way too.  There’s always that adjustment period when you first start blogging.  You have no idea what you are doing.  You constantly check your stats to see if two more people read what you had to say than the day before.  You compare yourself to other bloggers, maybe even try to copy half the things they do, only to find out that those things don’t really work for you.

But eventually, after a lot of trial and error, you find your groove and figure out the best way FOR YOU to share your passions with your readers.  And you build your own community.

I am happy to have reached this point.  You are my community, and for that I thank you!
