New Balance Fresh Foam 980 {Double Sneaker Giveaway}

Get excited, people. I have a super fun giveaway today that should make your Mondays just a bit better.

Say good morning to the newly released Fresh Foam 980 by New Balance.

New Balance Fresh Foam 980s

The Fresh Foams are New Balance’s latest running shoe that launched on February 12. Here’s some more info about the sneaks:

“The Fresh Foam 980 has a lightweight, breathable construction paired with a simple, plush upper to keep feet comfortable and protected. The new style is grounded in bright colors and vivid accents and offers runners a naturally cushioned yet light neutral running shoe. A unique spray paint finish and fresh, eye-catching design provide a lower to the ground running shoe ideal for any workout or wardrobe.”

When these babies came in the mail, I immediately fell in love with the bright colors. When I tried them on, I was impressed with just how SOFT they were. “Fresh foam” is definitely an appropriate name for these shoes because my feet felt cushioned not only underneath toward the bottom of the shoe, but all the way around the sides and top too. My old lady bunion appreciates this, that’s for sure!

New Balance Fresh Foam 980s

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to run in the Fresh Foams yet because of my sprained ankle, but I have worn them for cardio cross training. They’ve felt great on the elliptical, spin bike, and row machine.

New Balance Fresh Foam 980

I can’t wait until my ankle is fully recovered so I can wear these jogging. How cute are these going to look once it’s finally warm enough to go for a springtime run outside again?

New Balance Fresh Foam 980

This weekend I also wore the Fresh Foams for weight lifting. While they felt fine and definitely still cushioned my feet, I do think I prefer my cross-trainers that have a lower platform for strength workouts.

New Balance Fresh Foam 980

I’m definitely psyched to add the Fresh Foam 980s to my ever-growing sneaker collection. Thank you, New Balance, for the opportunity to review and share your latest and greatest on F&F!

Double Sneaker Giveaway

To celebrate the new product, New Balance has offered to give away two FREE pairs of Fresh Foams (one pair from the men’s collection and one from the women’s).

  1. How awesome is this giveaway!!!!! I have such a hard time letting sneakers go that the old ones go into an “outdoor” rotation. One for the lawn, one for dirt and mud and I even have a pair dedicated to dealing with poison ivy so I never contaminate the rest 🙂 I retired my New Balance pair just a few months ago.

I currently have three pairs in use, running, exercise/training and my everyday pair. My feet have been spoiled having been out of heels for three years now, I’m not sure I could ever go back!

Oh, if I win, woman’s please!!

  2. Awesome bright colors for the sneakers! I have 2 pair right this second, one for outside workouts and boot camps and one pair for my indoor workouts and classes. Women’s choice for me!

  4. I’m new at this fitness thing, so I only own 1 pair of sneakers! I also have big and wide feet ( thanks to my 3 babies) so it’s extremely hard to find shoes that fit- I usually have to search the men’s section. New Balance are the ones I’ve found that fit me great. I’d love to have women’s shoes with girly colors for a change😃! Thanks!

  5. Love the look of these new fresh foams!! I currently am only using one pair of athletic shoes, for indoor workouts, and I recently ordered a new pair that I am hoping I will like. I also have an older pair of sneakers that I use for walking (and playing outside with my little Olivia!) Could definitely use another pair of sneakers in the rotation 🙂 I would be thrilled to win a pair of women’s fresh foams! Great giveaway, a fun way to start the week.

  6. Great giveaway! I currently own 1 pair of sneakers for running but do not have any other sneakers for indoor workouts, boot camp, etc. I am a physical education teacher so I live everyday in sneakers, but unfortunately I am not that teacher that has a bunch of different pairs, one for each day of the week. I have about 3 pairs that I will rotate throughout the week for school, but do not currently own a pair of bright new balance sneakers like these and would love to rock them at school! Women’s choice 🙂

  7. I have 3-4 pairs of sneaks. Unfortunately, I love new sneakers but my feet are so abnormally small I have to purchase kids size which don’t usually have the same great selection/colors. If I win, I will take the men’s shoes and give them to my hubby 🙂

  13. Good workout sneaks are double the price here in Israel, so I would gladly welcome a new pair of women’s shoes! I currently have 3 pairs – a new(er) pair of brooks running shoes, an old(er) pair for backup and a pair of asics that I use for non-running. Thanks for offering this 🙂

  14. I’m a tiny bit embarrassed (but not really!) to say that I have over 20 pair of athletic shoes (probably only 10ish that I still were often!).
And, I would definitely want the women’s shoes – can always use more!!

  15. Hi. Currently I own three pairs of exercise shoes–2 are on their way out and should not be worn but they are comfortable but they just do not have the padding I need and well one is not holding together as well anymore.

I would love the women’s shoe.

  16. I currently have 2 pairs of athletic shoes. One for work and one for the gym. I would love to have a pair of these work my work since I am on my feet all night working in the operating room as a surgical technologist. These would definitely help to make me feel not so worn out by the end of my shift.
A womens size 8 would be greatly appreciated
Pretty please let me win these

  17. I have 4 pair. I keep them forever, because sounds like we have something in common (bunions). So painful – so when I find a shoe that fits, I keep it. I want to win the women’s pair!!

  18. I own 4 pairs of running shoes: 1 old pair of Nike’s and 3 pairs of Brookes Ravennas (2 of which are retired, but still in decent shape for non running activities!) I’d love a pair of women’s shoes to wear in the Beach Body Bootcamp and 321 Shred classes I teach 🙂

  19. I’d like to win a pair for my husband! He is currently awaiting a “go-ahead” from his doctors to work out again. (He was in a major car accident last June leaving him with multiple injuries.) He LOVES bright colored sneakers, and owns about six pairs. He was active in the gym 6 days a week for the past 5 years before the accident, and it’s killing him not being able to go! I’d like something to cheer him up with! 🙂

  20. Hi! I am a lifetime athlete with complicated feet – high arches, narrow heel, and a bunion that has finally thwarted my efforts to continue running beyond 2-3mi (sometimes less). After 3 yrs and 5 pairs of running shoes that i couldn’t really afford but bought bc i’m dying to run, again…ALL of them give me horrible blisters underneath the various degrees of callous around my bunion. I have tried inserts, taping, and creative first aid strategies, changing my gait, strike, stride, speed…nothing helps (a podiatrist/custom orthotics/surgery are out of my price range – i am a massage therapist). It doesn’t help that I live in Austin, where it is usually hot and any shoe feels like an oven. When not running, i do not get these blisters. PLEASE help me find a good shoe, if you can! It sounds like the fresh foams might be a godsend, and if i won, i would be happy with men’s OR women’s (i have not yet tried men’s shoes to see if they solve my problem bc i have such a narrow heel). Thank you for sharing your experiences and being such an inspiration. Please share any follow-up reviews about these shoes – especially regarding bunion comfort – if you wouldn’t mind. 😎

I have a pair in my trunk and a pair in my boyfriend’s trunk, because you never know when you’ll need sneakers! And I also have 3 pairs in my closet for walking around the city/running errands. So that’s 7 total? Haha. And I’d prefer to wear the women’s sneakers!
