Weekly Workout Log + Shirt Giveaway Winners

I’m back!

Slesh’s bridal shower this weekend was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Here’s a sneak peek picture:

Slesh's Bridal Shower

I’m hoping to be back to a somewhat regular blogging schedule this week, and I want to start out with my workout log from the past week. Despite being busy, exercise was still a priority for me (it always will be). I wasn’t able to do any heavy lifting last week, I had to take an extra off day than I normally do, and I also decreased the duration of exercise on some days. It’s all good though, and I’m really happy I was able to squeeze in four solid workout sessions during such a busy spring week.

Last Week’s Workouts

Sunday
Tim and I woke up early and went for a run before heading to my grandfather’s house for Easter Sunday. I also did some “up the ladder” core work: 10 star v-sits, 20 leg lifts, 30 heel taps, 40 plank kick and tucks, 50 bicycles, and a 60 second plank.

Monday
This was another at home workout day, and another workout I did with Tim before our Marathon Monday festivities. I threw together a workout where one of us did a move on the Jump Sport while the other did a move on the bosu. We did each move for 60 seconds, then switched.

Tuesday
Two A Day Tuesday. Took Kickboxing with Liz, then taught my On Fire Workout in my class.

Thursday
Taught my class with a 3-2-1 format that consisted of three strength moves (12 reps each), 2 cardio moves (30 seconds each), and one core move (1 minute each) per set.

This Week’s Workouts

  • Sunday: Yesterday I was able to get back to the gym for some heavy lifting, and it felt GREAT to be back in the weight room. I did 20 minutes on the spin bike, followed by legs, and I also experimented a bit with the trap bar for my deadlifts. Now I can’t stop reading about deadlifts and the differences between the traditional, sumo, and trap bar variations. Lifters, which do you prefer? Tips?
  • Monday: Tonight I am subbing for the 6:30pm Upper Body Express and 7:15pm Interval Training classes at Oak Square
  • Tuesday: Two A Day
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: Teaching my 6am
  • Friday: Working from home, so I’ll likely head to the gym for another lifting day, or maybe do a run. We’ll see!
