If I had to describe how I’ve eaten and/or felt about food for the past month, some words that come to mind include:
- Bottomless pit
- Nom, nom, nom
- Can’t stop, won’t stop
Ever since I went to Chicago in April, I just cannot stop eating ALL THE FOOD. Maybe that bike tour expanded my stomach? With so much going out to eat and social events lately, it’s just been really hard to “be good.” I am still food prepping and eating healthy during the work day, but my snacking at night and splurging on the weekends has gotten a little out of control lately. I’m trying really hard to reign it back in, but it’s been tough!
That said, the food picture roundup below doesn’t really include all my bottomless pit type noshing. Who would really want to see pictures of random slices of cheese, crackers, chocolate chips, and spoonfuls of peanut butter? Instead, here’s a recap of some of the meals I’ve had over the past couple of months. Enjoy!

Do you go through phases where you just can’t stop snacking? How do you overcome it to get back on track? What’s a delicious meal you’ve eaten lately? Any fun recipes to share? Any recipe post requests?
Hey! Sometimes we just get hungry :] You’ve just given me so much new quinoa inspiration. Thanks for sharing, girl! Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.
You’re welcome! I think I need to add some more protein to the beginning of my day. We’ll see! Glad to inspire, have a great week. 🙂
Did I miss the recipe for your blueberry or strawberry pancakes? They look delicious. I definitely go through phases. I think I notice it the most when I’m not fueling my workouts enough. I overcome it by getting more protein in my meals and drinking a LOT more water. Every time I feel like snacking, I’ll drink a few ounces of water and make myself wait ten or fifteen minutes to see if I still want the snack. Most of the time, I end up forgetting about it! I actually recently made spaghetti squash spaghetti and love it. Too bad my hubby doesn’t like it. I’d love to see some lunch or snack recipes you might have like bars, salads, etc. Thanks for sharing
Hi! I haven’t posted those recipes, just kind of followed the recipe on a Bob’s Red Mill multigrain pancake mix and added berries in. Great suggestion on the water!
Wow so many super yummmmy looking things!!!!! 🙂
It is weird how sometimes I will have a week or 2 that I’m starving and eat all the time and then I will “all of a sudden” be back to my normal eating.
All of your food looks awesome!!! I’m thinking the caprese chicken might have to be part of the weekend here!
Yes, that definitely happened to me. I’m feeling back to normal this week but for the previous two I couldn’t stop noshing!
That goat cheese gnocchi just made me super hungry.. did you guys make that?
We did! It’s not gnocchi from scratch though. 🙂
Can I get the recipe for the lemon quinoa with chicken and artichokes? It looks so delish! I’m on a big artichoke kick right now, so this is right up my alley!
Planning to post it within the next couple of weeks! Stay tuned!

Yes, I tend to snack a lot when I work from home or if I don’t go to the gym after work. I’m usually pretty good, but when I’m snacky on Sunday’s I let myself have at it- calories don’t count on sunday, right? 😉 PS- Blue Dragon- I drove by there with Roberto and he was asking about it and I was like “I saw that someone went there recently but I can’t remember who!!”… thanks for reminding me it was you- Definitely going to add it to our list 🙂
Let me know when you go!! It’s so fun there. You have to order the cucumber cocktail. YUM!
