It’s Thursday, which means it’s almost the weekend.  This also means I’m super overdue in posting my pictures from last weekend.

It wouldn’t be very nice of me to exclude the girl’s night that my friend Shannon hosted at her new apartment last Friday.

I’d feel bad if I didn’t showcase her fun platters of food she had ready for us.

I’d also feel pretty terrible about not mentioning how yummy Tracy’s salsa dip was.

And although it may seem selfish, I really should show off my caprese salad.  Because I think it’s just the bomb-dot-com.

I also wouldn’t be a very appreciative employee for not saying thank you, company, for having such a wonderful annual picnic yet again on Saturday.  Complete with carnival rides, massive amounts of food, a free beer tent, and more… how couldn’t I post about it?

Oh, and the lobsters.  I walked out with 6 of them.  It would be REALLY rude of me to not brag about say how much I am thankful for those.

And what an awful girlfriend I’d be to not mention that Tim made lobster rolls for dinner after the picnic.  Yummy, delicious lobster rolls… with the perfect amount of onion.  Thank you, my culinary boyfriend.

Oh, and Joan!  Hi, Joanio.

My friend Joan got married this weekend.  What kind of former Providence College Dance Company president would I be to not give a blog shout out to Joan on her wedding day?

What kind of friend would I be to not mention how beautiful every single detail of the wedding was?

And to also talk about how much freaking fun I had seeing my PCDC loves?!

All of the above would be PRETTY brutal, huh?

Better late than never.

Share something overdue with me!

Wine & Cheese Night

Good morning, readers!

Happy Saturday.

Last night I went over Allison’s apartment with Tracy for a wine & cheese night.  Can you believe last night was the first time seeing my childhood best friend’s apartment since she moved in there a year and a half ago!?  It was a really cute place, and I had a lot of fun catching up with the girls.

Allison had a really cute spread set up on her dining room table when we got there:

All night we munched on fruit, veggies, cheese & crackers, oranges, almonds, and drank wine.  Except Tracy who failed to mention that she doesn’t drink wine (how did we not realize this all these years?!?) BEFORE wine and cheese night!  Pretty funny.

The wine we drank was called Ocatve, a light sparkling white I bought during an impromptu wine tasting at a liquor store we stopped at during Cape Weekend.  It was really tasty.

Terrible light settings on my camera for the cheese & crackers picture:

Better for this one:

A new treat I discovered:  Sesame Honey Almonds.  YUM.  I don’t always LOVE the taste of regular almonds but these had some extra flavor.  Allison said she found them at Trader Joe’s, so next time I go I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for them.

All in all, a nice relaxing night with the girls.

If you don’t belong to Rue La La – today they are offering a really good deal to a dance and fitness studio in Brookline, MA called DanceFIT.  You can see the details here – I think I’m going to buy it!  DanceFIT has a lot of adult fitness and dance classes, including one that is ballet with weights.  Totally awesome.

That’s all for today – I’m off to my friend Kerri’s wedding in Rhode Island.  Should be a great time.  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends so far!
