Kennebunkport is one of my favorite New England spots.  During our Portland vacation we took a day trip there and had a wonderful time.  We spent a few hours at the beach, and it was the perfect beach day.  After the beach we freshened up as much as we could and walked around the downtown.  Kennebunk is very quaint, with lots of shops, but it doesn’t feel too touristy at all.  When we got hungry we stopped at Federal Jack’s for drinks and dinner.  We sat on the deck with a beautiful view of the harbor and boats.  I loved the mussels and fish tacos I ate, but the most exciting part of Federal Jack’s was discovering a new Shipyard Beer.  Federal Jack’s only sells Shipyard brews, but their Sunfish Wheat is ONLY carried there in Maine.  It was the most refreshing beer and I want it all the time now!  We did get a growler to go, and it’s currently in our fridge just waiting for the perfect opportunity to drink.  A lot of people also recommended we try Earth (organic inspired farm to table food!), but it just wasn’t the right day for us to go there since we were still a little sandy from the beach.  I will definitely be trying it next time though.  After Federal Jack’s, we drove to the famous Bush compound where we snapped some pictures of the ocean and the Bush house at sunset.  So pretty!  If you ever have the opportunity to make your way up to Kennebunkport, I highly recommend it!

Have you ever been to Kennebunkport before?  What’s your favorite thing to do there?
